Kiansom Baptist Retreat Centre (KBRC) is situated at Inanam Kiansom, 8 KM from lnanam Town Centre, which is about 10 KM from Kata Kinabalu City Centre. KBRC is the largest retreat centre in Kota K inabalu City catered for different budget groups. The Retreat Centre nestles among the trees. The rolling terrain and mature trees surroundings help to create a tranquil ambience for prayer, reflection and relaxation, away from the incessant distractions of everyday life. Adding to this tranquility is a river running alongside the boundary of the Retreat Centre and the famous Kiansom Water Fall is just a stone’s throw away from the Centre, make it an ideal place to take time out from the stresses and pressures of modern living.
KBRC is made up of few buildings. The 3 storey wooden building was built in 1970s, 2 pairs of concrete double storey semi-detached buildings were built in 2002, while the new concrete 4 storey building was completed at the end of 2015. Facilities include conference halls with mini P.A. system, meeting rooms, kitchen for cooking facilities and spacious kitchenette for preparing refreshments. The Retreat Centre can accommodate a maximum capacity of 250 people at one time and there are as many as 4 types of rooms avail able as well as an open area for camping, bonfire and BBQ.
KB RC is an ideal setting for retreats, conferences, meetings, rest and relaxation breaks, day or weekend courses, seminars and workshops, trainings, and camping.
Above all, the Centre offers an oasis of peace from today’s all too busy world.
KBRC is opened to Churches, Christian groups and individuals, consideration may also be given to certain schools and NGOs.
